We’re looking forward to reopening the doors again on Wednesday 29th July 4pm – 7pm. However, as you know, the world has changed over the past 3 months and as such the Club will open on a trial basis. We will trial a reopening of the club on the above date and monitor how it goes to decide whether we will continue to stay open.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…
Health and wellbeing
The number one priority for The Gladstone Port Social Club Inc. committee is the health and wellbeing of our guests and volunteers.
The whole team has made a huge effort preparing the Club to reopen as a COVID Safe environment. However, it is everyone’s responsibility to minimise the spread. With this in mind, please:
follow the direction of volunteer staff if requested
practise social distancing
practise good hygiene
stay home if you are unwell.
YOU MUST SIGN IN
Please follow the signs to enter and exit the club.
Immediately upon entry, please use the sanitisation station provided.
For contact tracing purposes the government requires us to collect and hold your personal details, including: Name, Phone, Address, arrival & departure times.
Volunteers are obliged to refuse entry to, or ask to leave:
anyone who appears to be unwell
presents with symptoms of COVID-19
refuses to sign in or follow the lawful instruction of staff.
Please understand that these measures are in place for the health and wellbeing of everyone.
CAPACITY LIMITATIONS
Following the recent release of updated government guidelines, the Club is no longer restricted to capacity limitations per area. However, social distancing does still apply to the whole venue. Under the latest guidelines we can have a maximum of 78 patrons inside the Club.
PROMOTIONS
Members Draw – under current capacity limitations, it is unfair to run member promotions as doing so may inadvertently discriminate against members if they are unable to enter the venue.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time. It has been great to hear how excited everyone is to see the Club open again and we can’t wait to welcome you back. If we can ask one more favour… please bear with us as our volunteer staff adjust to the requirements of serving in a COVID Safe environment, they have your best interests at heart.
It will take some time for the volunteer committee & bar staff to work through the requirements to enable the reopening of the club. Patrons patience during this time would be appreciated.
In compliance with Government directives the Social Club Bar will not be operating until further notice and all future function bookings have been suspended.
A sad day when the cold room is empty and turned off! Such are the times we live in today. But alas, we shall return.
